MLB Disciplines Giants, Rockies Over Melee
MLB has issued a four-day suspension for Jose Mesa for intentionally throwing at Omar Vizquel's head on April 22, which led to a five-ejection game the next day, the ejectees being Giants pitching coach Dave Righetti, Rockies manager Clint Hurdle, Giants pitcher Matt Morris, Rockies reliever Ray King, and Giants manager Felipe Alou, all of whom have been disciplined; Morris and Righetti have been fined undisclosed sums.
