Our Best Reliever, Part Blue: Padres 6, Dodgers 5

Vinny is telling us that the Dodgers didn't have a base hit after the fifth inning, and sure enough. As much fun for the Dodgers as October 2, 2004 was for the Giants, the blame falls squarely on Grady Little for allowing Lance Carter to blow up, for failing to pull Danys Baez, who clearly had nothing, and then allowing LOOGY Hamulack to stay in the game well beyond the limits of the lefties.

Those hoping that this will mean Lance Carter will be DFA'd any time soon forget last year's experience with Scott Erickson. Sure, you might say, this is a different GM. Colletti's nothing like DePodesta... right? Wrong.
