Angels Kremlinology: Lackey Replaces Erstad
Normally, I don't pay much attention to minutiae like this, but this one's just too tempting:
Maybe I'm just slow on the uptake, but the masthead banner on the Angels website — updated 5/12/06 2:38:05 PDT — is minus Darin Erstad and plus John Lackey. (Update: And minus Bartolo Colón and plus Adam Kennedy.) The People's Heroes change so quick around here it's simply mind-boggling! At least they're picking guys who are mostly getting the job done.

Note that prior to the replacement, it was the four highest-paid Angels.
