A's Disable Frank Thomas
The Big Hurt is hurt again, and the A's have placed him on the 15-day DL with a strained quad. Jeremy Brown was recalled from AAA Sacramento.

Well, Thomas is going on the DL just before a nine-game stretch of interleague games that would have reduced him to a pinch-hitting role, so the move is as convenient as it is unsurprising.
