Mathis, J: 1-4, 2 K
Saunders: (L, 10-4), 8.0 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 8 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 2.55 ERA
Joe Saunders threw a good game, but not quite enough to overcome the Sidewinders. Dallas McPherson sat this one out. Solid offensive contributions from Erick Aybar and Mike Eylward in this game, the latter driving in both of Salt Lake's runs.
2006-07-24: Arkansas 15, Springfield 11 #
Haynes: 2-6, 1 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 K
Peel, A: 2-6, 1 2B, 2 RBI

Green: (W, 6-1), 6.0 IP, 7 R, 7 ER, 9 H, 1 K, 1 BB, 3 HR, 5.07 ERA
No taters from Brandon Wood anywhere to be seen, but Bobby Wilson, Matt Brown, Greg Porter, and Nathan Haynes all homered in the slugfest, totalling six in all. Every Trav got a hit. Nick Green got the win despite taking a big hit to his ERA, his fifth straight decision with a win.
2006-07-24: Rancho Cucamonga 9, Lake Elsinore 0 #
Rodriguez, S: 2-4, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K

Gelinas: (W, 2-4), 9.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 5.48 ERA
Through some atmospheric fluke and my finger pushing the wrong button on the car radio, I heard part of this game on 1370 on my way home from work. Karl Gelinas pitched a complete-game shutout, his first of the season and easily his best game of the year despite striking out only one batter. Clifton Remole hit the game's only homer.

Edwards: 3-3, 1 3B, 1 BB
Ortega: (L, 1-3), 6.1 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 4 H, 5 K, 4 BB, 2.86 ERA
A quality start by Anthony Ortega for the Kernels, turned into a loss by Mike Pete, who failed to retire any of the three batters he faced; all of them scored.

Alexander: (L, 0-1) (in relief), 1.2 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 H, 1 K, 3 BB, 6.23 ERA
So much for Mark Alexander's scoreless innings streak. And so much for me -- I'm going to bed.

2006-07-24: GCL Dodgers vs. GCL Nationals: Postponed: Rain #

Comments:
On the Angels tv postgame show, Phyz said that Dallas had been sent to Arizona to have his back examined again. Another setback for Dallas.

You're right, Morales is still on the 40-man. The team purchased the contract of Curtis Pride, which filled the 40th spot on the Halo roster
