News
- I got status on Jason Bulger, down with a right rotator cuff injury since June 17. He's starting a throwing progression this week, though no idea if he'll be back this year.
- The Angels optioned Kendry Morales to AAA Salt Lake, recalling OF Curtis Pride. The game wrap mentioning Morales' demotion also says Pride has taken the place of Morales on the 40-man, but I have to believe that's just an unclear sentence.
- Thanks to the Rev for pointing out that Dallas McPherson tweaked his back again and is contemplating surgery. He's had six cortisone shots. Where's my fork?

Gelinas: (W, 2-4), 9.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 5.48 ERA
Through some atmospheric fluke and my finger pushing the wrong button on the car radio, I heard part of this game on 1370 on my way home from work. Karl Gelinas pitched a complete-game shutout, his first of the season and easily his best game of the year despite striking out only one batter. Clifton Remole hit the game's only homer.
