Reds DFA Esteban Yan
The Cincinnati Reds, fresh off a remarkably stupid trade (see the long BTF thread on this one), have just DFA'd Esteban Yan. "Yan pitched in 14 games for the Reds, going 1-0 with one save and a 3.60 ERA."
Comments:
I like the trade from the Reds point of view much like Ron Marchman writes - that Kearns and Lopez are overpaid, have disappointed, etc. - why not get rid of these kind of arb. eligible players? You should have seen how fat Kearns was in 2005. The term 'hungry' young 25 yr old playera, took on a new meaning. Zebras always show their stripes.
