Felipe Alou's Faith In His Players Takes A Giant Test
On seeing Greg Maddux twice in one week:
"I'd like to see him again," Alou said of Maddux, who threw just 68 pitches over eight shutout innings Sunday at Dodger Stadium. "Maybe our guys learned a lesson. We made a lot of outs with balls four or five inches off the ground.The Giants will square off against Greg Maddux Saturday at AT&T Park."It can't be any worse than what happened. Maybe we'll make him throw 70 pitches this time in eight innings."
