Khalil Greene Hits The DL
Padres shortstop Khalil Greene hits the 15-day DL with a strained left middle finger. Rookie right-hander Mike Thompson gets the callup from AAA Portland, his fourth of the season, replacing Clay Hensley for one start in the rotation. Hensley missed the start with a reported pain in the ass buttocks.
