The game was suspended thanks to a severe electrical storm. As this was the last meeting of the two teams for the season, the game will not be made up, and the Travs win the season series, 14-13-1. Matt Brown homered in the tie, and Nick Green had a better-than-quality start. All six runs in the game were scored on homers.

You like the K's but not the runs for Eric Stults, who couldn't hold on to a four-run advantage the offense gave him in the first, capped by a two-run Andy LaRoche dinger. In the seventh, behind 4-2, Luke Allen tripled in Justin Leone, who got a leadoff walk, and Kennard Jones followed that up by reaching on a fielding error by LaRoche. Singles by Dave Matranga and Paul McAnulty drove in the game winning runs. Former Angel prospect Steve Andrade got the win in relief.

Mark Alexander, in his first appearance at AA since July 14, notched his 23rd save with a pair of strikeouts.

Rivera, J: 1-4, 1 K

Brooks: (W, 1-0) (in relief), 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
Columbus won this one thanks to Ivan DeJesus' RBI single in the bottom of the ninth in a game that turned out to be a real nail-biting pitcher's duel; both teams scored one run in their respective halves of the first and fifth innings. The game should have been seven innings, as it was a makeup for the prior day's rainout.
2006-08-25: Charleston 6, Columbus 3 #

Denker, T: 2-3, 1 BB
Perez: 2-3, 1 2B, 1 RBI

Can't win 'em all, and it's tough to sweep a doubleheader. A seven-inning affair.
2006-08-25: Great Falls 11, Ogden 13 #
Rogowski: 2-4, 1 3B, 4 RBI, 2 BB
Rivera, M: 3-6, 2 RBI, 1 K

The Sox scored six in the second, and the two sides battled to a 11-10 lead for Great Falls going into the bottom of the eighth. The Raptors then staged a four-run, two-out rally that posted a four run advantage that Miguel Ramirez held on to for his seventh save of the season.
2006-08-25: GCL Dodgers 2, GCL Red Sox 11 #
Mattingly: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Robinson: 2-3, 1 2B, 1 RBI
Renfrow: (L, 0-1), 4.2 IP, 6 R, 4 ER, 7 H, 3 K, 3 BB, 1 HR, 4.50 ERA
Dutton: 3.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 6.00 ERA
The Red Sox blasted the Dodgers on their way to the GCL title in a game that featured a grand slam by Pedro Vasquez, part of a seven-run fifth that put the game out of reach for the Blue. Wayne Renfrow uncorked a pair of wild pitches, and Jason Anthony, playing out of position at first base, made a two-run fielding error to further the Dodgers' list of self-destructive acts.

Comments:
When Konerko was McPherson's age, he had been in the majors four years, had appeared in 522 games, and hit 84 homers. Dallas McPherson? He's barely been able to stay in the game, has hit 17 home runs, and cannot hit left-handed pitching at all. Quite frankly, I just don't care what happens to him anymore. I've run out of patience.
