Angels To Play White Sox 9 Times In 2007

The White Sox have released a tentative 2007 schedule that has them playing the Angels nine times, six times at Chicago. Interestingly, in addition to their natural rival Cubs, the White Sox will meet teams from both the NL East (Philadelphia and Florida) and the NL Central (Houston and Pittsburgh), perhaps presaging a general change in interleague scheduling.

Comments:
How is this different than how interleague has worked over the last few years?

Generally, teams have played other teams from only one other division outside of natural rivals. Angels always play Dodgers, Yankees play the Mets, the Chisox play the Cubs, the two Texas teams play each other, and the Marlins play the those things that killed that guy, but all the other matchups come from the opposite league but one division.

I thought that was the case for most teams but because the NL Central has 6 teams, that it sometimes gets two divisions.
