- The official word on Kelvim Escobar's condition is that he is day-to-day with tendinitis in his right knee. Escobar was lifted early in today's game, following the fourth inning.
- The Diamondbacks will not pick up Luis Gonzales' option for 2007. He is the franchise leader in nearly every important offensive category.
- Jarrod Washburn is awful on the road this year, 2-8 with a 5.38 ERA in 14 starts. The Mariners are presently losing 7-6 to the Kansas City Royals; Washburn surrendered six of the seven runs, all seven earned.
- Buck Showalter will return in 2007 despite another season without a playoff appearance.
