AFL Opening Day
Looks like I just barely missed the AFL opener, which was yesterday; the Scottsdale Scorpions, where various Angels are going, got hammered in a wild 15-9 loss at the hands of the Peoria Saguaros. Richard Thompson gave up six runs, all earned, over an inning of work; the damage included two homers, one of which was a grand slam to Corey Kasto.
For the Dodgers, Chin-Lung Hu drove in a run in an abbreviated appearance; he injured his hand, possibly on a hit-by-pitch, and went 1-1 with an RBI single in a 3-0 shutout of the Phoenix Desert Dogs. Casey Hoorelbeke pitched a scoreless frame along the way.
