Multiple Reports: Cubs Sign Piniella On 3-Year Deal
Via ESPN, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, and the Chicago Daily Herald, the Cubs have signed Lou Piniella to a 3-year deal, with financial terms still to be decided but rumored at $3M/year. Chicago will be the second team he has managed that has retired his playing number, 14, (it previously belonged to Hall of Famer Ernie Banks), so it's likely he'll wear #41, again.
