The Yankee Haters' Compendium
Yankee haters everywhere — and I include myself in that category — ought to get a kick out of this ESPN Page 2 summary of great Yankee postseason flops, including the most recent one, the Angels' 2002 trouncing, and Sandy Koufax's annihilation of the team in 1963. Via BTF.
Comments:
The Page 2 Staff flip-flopped Don Drysdale and Johnny Podres. Podres actually won 1963 World Series Game 2 with relief help from Ron Perranoski and Drysdale won Game 3. The Page 2 Staff forgot 2005 ALDS Game 5 Yankees @ Angels. That was a loser go home game that was more exciting than the Yankee losses in the 2002 ALDS Game 4 or the 2006 ALDS Game 4.
