2007 Dodgers ZIPS Projections
The 2007 Dodgers ZIPS Projections are now available; the good news, if you can call it that, is that ZIPS projects Drew to once more play in less than 130 games and have a significant power regression as well (well under .500 SLG with .461, and only 18 dingers). The bad news is that he would still be one of the Dodgers' best hitters .... As one of the commenters observed, Loney, Kemp, LaRoche and Martin are all expected to be providing .350+ OBPs, but that said, this will be a badly power-challenged team; no player will have a SLG of .500 or better, and no player will hit 20 or more home runs. That includes Nomar Garciaparra, who ZIPS thinks will only hold on for 115 games and a .288/.354/.469 season.
