Mid-Day News
- The Rockies have exercised RHP Byung-Hyun Kim's $2.5M option for 2007, while declining options on relievers Mike DeJean, Jose Mesa, and Ray King.
- GMs Extended: Dave Dombrowski of the Tigers has accepted an extension through 2011; and the Astros extended Tim Purpura through 2008 (also via MLB.com).
- Update: According to Michael Lev writing in the Register, the Dodgers won't likely be on KFWB past 2007, when their contract expires. That much is a given, and has been speculated upon for months; the interesting addendum in this piece is that pregame/postgame host A. Martinez's contract came up at the end of this year, and he's discussing a renewal with station officials.
