Reported Signings
A couple signings, or reports of signings anyway —
- Adam Kennedy turned down a one-year, take-it-or-leave-it deal from the Angels on Tuesday; the Blue Jays are "courting" him. Agent Paul Cohen is asking for a 4-year, $18M deal.
- The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Dave Roberts has signed with the Giants, for a three-year deal worth $5M to $6M per year, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Roberts picked the Giants because he wanted to stay in California.
- Also in that Chron story, the Giants are set to hire back former starting shortstop Rich Aurilia, on a two- or three-year deal worth $3M per year, and are in talks with former Padre Mark Loretta, and bullpen insurance policy David Weathers.
- The Toronto Blue Jays are close to signing former Rangers starting catcher Rod Barajas, on a two-year deal worth between $5.5M and $6M.
- The Mariners are reviewing Adam Eaton's medical history in preparation of a possible run at the free agent. Several teams have expressed interest, and he might get a four-year deal despite the fact that he only made 13 starts this year.
