A teammate of the other All Star Mike Marshall (Michael Grant, the pitcher), the pitcher on his way out in 1981 when the outfielder/first baseman was on his way in. He had tremendous success in the minors, being named Cal League MVP and winning the PCL triple crown, but a litany of injuries — back, wrist, and ankle injuries, food poisoning, warts — sapped his ability much of his career. He homered in the first at-bat of his debut game, September 7, 1981, but the umpires missed it and the ball was ruled a double; later, Giants outfielder Jack Clark admitted the ball had bounced back from the stands. Probably the highlight of his Dodger career was a three-run jack in the third inning of Game 2 of the 1988 World Series, a 6-0 blowout in which Orel Hersheiser pitched a three-hit complete game shutout. Traded to the Mets in December, 1989, he went to the Red Sox for a year before finishing up with two games in an Angels uniform in 1991.

Ed Stevens BRO b. 1925, played 1945-1947. Along with Howie Schultz, one half of the platoon at first base that the great Jackie Robinson replaced. Stevens was purchased by the Pirates after spending most of 1947 in the minors, and was out of the majors following the 1950 season.

Terry Whitfield LAN b. 1953, played 1984-1986
