Gagne Throwing Great — In AAA?
Eric Gagne pitched one inning, throwing 14 pitches, striking out two and getting a popup. The fact that it was against the Royals' AAA team makes you scratch your head; why would the Rangers assign him to pitch against minor leaguers?

Sometimes teams will have pitchers throw in minor-league spring training if there are too many pitchers who need to throw against hitters than can be accommodated during regular games.
