Minor League Scorebook

News

Forgot to mention yesterday that another name leaving the watch list is former Angels pitching prospect Bob Zimmerman, who was delisted.

Scores

2007-04-09: Tucson 10, Salt Lake 2 #
Evans: 2-5, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 K

Resop: 1.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 H, 1 K, 1 BB, 12.00 ERA
Man, what a disaster: a nine-inning fourth in which Tucson sent thirteen men to the plate. Starter Phil Seibel loaded up the bases on consecutive singles, the third being a bunt from Danny Richar. A throwing error from second baseman Matt Brown (recall he has primarily been a third baseman hitherto) allowed two baserunners to score.

Then the gates really opened up. Chris Resop came in to relieve him, and allowed all his inherited baserunners to score, and gave up a couple more runs besides. And, other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Comments:
Concerning Cedar Rapids, you should be tracking the results for Matt Sweeney, who was the 2nd best hitter in the AZL last year and is probably the best pure hitter on the Kernels.

Sweeney is in the 2007 BA top 30, and so, yes, he's being tracked.
