2007-04-14: Salt Lake 6, Las Vegas 9 #
Wood: 0-4, 2 K
Gorneault: 1-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Evans: 1-4, 1 3B, 2 RBI, 2 K
Mathis: 0-1
Patchett: 2-2, 1 2B, 1 RBI

Serrano: (L, 1-1) (in relief), 2.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 3.38 ERA
Terry Evans drove in a pair on a fourth inning two-run triple, but a terrible game for Phil Seibel, woh got shelled for six runs in five innings, all earned. Jeff Mathis appeared as a pinch hitter, as Brent Del Chiaro got the start behind the dish.
2007-04-14: Frisco 1, Arkansas 3 #
Rodriguez, S: 0-1, 2 BB, 1 K
Collins: 0-2, 1 K
Wilson: 0-1, 1 BB
Adenhart: (W, 2-0), 6.0 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 5 H, 2 K, 3 BB, 0.79 ERA
Arredondo: 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 3.18 ERA
Another Nick Adenhart triumph, though without the usual flourish of so many strikeouts; he actually walked more batters (three) than he struck out (two), but he survived to take the win. A seven-inning doubleheader affair.
2007-04-14: Frisco 4, Arkansas 2 #
Pride: 2-4, 1 3B, 2 K
Rodriguez, S: 1-2
Collins: 0-4, 3 K
Saenz: 4.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 H, 4 K, 2 BB, 8.59 ERA
Rodriguez, R: 2.2 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 H, 0 K, 1 BB, 1.50 ERA
Gonzalez, M: (L, 0-1) (in relief), 2.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 H, 1 K, 1 BB, 1 HR, 9.00 ERA
Rafael Rodriguez relieved shelled starter Chris Saenz on a cold (47°F) evening at Dickey-Stephens. Frisco's Kevin Mahar homered off Miguel Gonzalez to sink the Travs in the 10th inning of this doubleheader. Five straight frames of zeros from the fifth through the ninth, and I bet the house was awfully empty by the eighth.
2007-04-14: Rancho Cucamonga did not play
2007-04-14: Wisconsin 6, Cedar Rapids 3 #
Bourjos: 0-4, 1 K
Pettit: 3-4, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI
Trumbo: 0-4, 1 RBI, 1 K
Conger: 2-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI
Phillips: 0-4, 3 K
Mount: 0-4, 2 K
Bell: (L, 0-1), 5.0 IP, 6 R, 5 ER, 9 H, 5 K, 0 BB, 9.00 ERA

Arredondo: 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 7.71 ERA
Another cold one, with starting temperatures at 50°F. Trevor Bell had trouble in the four-run third that included an unearned run thanks to Hank Conger throwing a ball into center on Gregory Halman's stolen base attempt; he reached safely, advanced to third on the errant throw, and scored on Gerardo Avila's groundout. Conger homered in the bottom of the second, and stole second in the fourth, but later got picked off. Conger also threw out Luis Nunez attempting to steal second in the top of the seventh, and caught Gregory Halman trying for third in the eighth.

Young: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K
Jones, M: 2-5, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 K
Stinnett: 1-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI
Perez: 2-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K
Miller: 4.0 IP, 3 R, 1 ER, 3 H, 7 K, 1 BB, 2.57 ERA
Hoorelbeke: 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 3.24 ERA
Lundberg: (BS, 1)(W, 1-0) (in relief), 1.0 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 27.00 ERA
A solid win for the 51's, who got a homer and a pair of RBIs from Sergio Garcia; Kelly Stinnett also had a solo homer. James Loney, Adam LaRoche, and Delwyn Young all got at least one hit, and LaRoche and Young drove in a run each as well. Greg Miller pitched four innings (maybe on a pitch count?) and gave up three runs, all earned.
2007-04-14: West Tenn 1, Jacksonville 2 #
Hu, C: 0-3, 1 K
Paul: 1-3, 1 K
Dunlap: 0-3
Raglani: 1-2, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Maza: 1-3, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K
Megrew: 5.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 H, 4 K, 2 BB, 0.00 ERA

Meloan: (W, 2-0) (in relief), 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 2 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
Anthony Raglani and Luis Maza had solo homers in the eighth to give Jacksonville the win. Mike Megrew and Jonathan Meloan combined for seven innings of shutout ball; Brian Akin gave up the only run allowed by Jacksonville.
2007-04-14: Lancaster 8, Inland Empire 9 #
Godwin: 1-2, 2 BB, 1 K
Justis: 3-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 K
Dewitt: 0-1, 1 K
May: 2-4, 2 HR, 4 RBI
Hoffmann: 2-4, 1 3B, 1 RBI
Locke: 2-4, 1 K
Nicholson: 2-4, 1 RBI
McDonald: 2.2 IP, 5 R, 5 ER, 8 H, 2 K, 3 BB, 11.05 ERA
Pratt: (W, 1-0) (in relief), 4.1 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 5 K, 4 BB, 2.31 ERA
Troncoso: 2.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 2 K, 0 BB, 1.29 ERA
The four-run sixth was key to this game; a wild pitch from Lancaster's Michael Rozier allowed David Nicholson to score while Adam Godwin was at the plate. A double by Shane Justis and Lucas May's two-run homer — his second of the evening — provided added insurance the 66ers would later need. Jacobo Meque, who had failed to surrender an earned run in five innings of work so far this season, came in and gave up three earned runs while making no outs. Ramon Troncoso relieved him and restored order.
2007-04-14: Lansing 2, Great Lakes 0 #

Gardner: 4.0 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 0.90 ERA
Another cold one in the minors (44°F), Cody White pitched four very solid innings, striking out nine but walking five. Chase Lirette got the win for the Lugnuts.

Rob, you are right, the house was pretty empty by the 8th inning. For that matter, it was not too full after the end of the first game but there were those of us who stayed until the bitter (very cold) end.
