Administrivia: Home Page Post Cutback
One of the unfortunate things about Blogger, especially with the amount of stuff I generate on this site, is that it tends to develop a huge first page. One of the proprietors of the much-esteemed-around-these-parts Sons of Steve Garvey mentioned that the main page is now so large that he can't read it on his Blackberry, and I have to take that as a Sign. Slow load times had me thinking about cutting back on the number of posts on the home page before, and this only cements my opinion. Only the last three days will be shown from now on, or until I change my mind again. I also may start split posts (the "Read More" link you often see on Moveable Type-powered blogs), which might help, especially considering the huge volume of minor league scorebook posts. Mr. Sax, if that breaks your Crackberry, do let me know, eh? Of course, as always, I have links to the archive-by-title pages on the sidebar (presented as a link to the year, so 2007, for instance).

Not to sound like Rich Donnelly with Andre Ethier on third and Juan Pierre at the plate, but I hope I didn't send the wrong sign. Honestly it may be my blackberry ineptitude keeping me from accessing your site from the road.
Thanks for the accommodation, though, and I'll keep you posted--keep up the great work Rob.
