3rd Order WPCT Still Hearts The A's
The Halos have the most wins in baseball*? BS, says Baseball Prospectus's third-order WPCT. The Angels are still behind the A's with a .5559 WPCT (32.8-26.1), while the A's own a shiny .5696 WPCT (31.9-24.1).
*Tied with the Red Sox for actual wins. The Sox still have a better record thanks to three fewer losses.

Hahahahaha. The only thing those numbers tell me is that the A's suck because they haven't scored as many runs as they should have. Good job guys.
I hate to give further life to the Rev's "Choakland" meme, but it does seem apt so far this year. Their average with RISP is pretty terrible according to Baseball Reference, dropping from .252/.336/.390 to .229/.321/.390 with runners in scoring position.
