A's DFA Milton Bradley
What the heck? The A's finally give up on Milton Bradley after he had words with home plate umpire Tim Timmons over a called third strike? Crazy talk, that's what that is... via Jon, with additional stuff at Catfish Stew, The Griddle, and the obligatory Athletics Nation link. INF Kevin Mellilo got the callup from AAA Sacramento to take his place.
Speculation is all over the map as to why, from the A's just getting sick of his DL time and his on-and-off-field antics, to the possibility that they have a deal waiting, to the possibility that maybe he will pass through waivers unmolested. One thing's for sure, no matter whose colors he's wearing, Bradley will always be entertaining.
