Whahappen? Devil Rays 9, Dodgers 4
Jon may be encouraged by the LOBsters the Dodgers left yesterday, but they had bigger problems to worry about after a big-time meltdown by Joe Beimel, who failed to record an out while giving up five runs. It figured that Edwin Jackson would find a way to record a win against his old team; I can't harbor any ill will toward the man, and think Ned Colletti's ejection of the young pitcher really dumb, especially considering the limited returns.
Luis Gonzalez got one into the fishtank, er, rays tank, but that was about the extent of the good news for the Dodgers. How do you lose two of three to the Devil Rays? Maybe when the opposition manager is an ex-Angel.
The Dodgers end the day a game and a half back of ... first place Arizona.
