A Gonzo Finish: Dodgers 5, Phillies 4

The last week or so has been just fabulous to the Dodgers, which disappointed me to the extent that I've missed all but about five innings of it thanks to company; as it is, I've barely been able to keep up on the Angels and with the minor league stuff.

No matter. Chad Billingsley was back to his old, bad tricks of throwing way too many pitches but this time without too many runs, at least, enough that the Dodgers' offense couldn't overcome, and that just; Luis Gonzalez's homer made the difference in the game, and everyone got to go home happy after the bullpen held the lead while surrendering only one hit.

Oh, and did I mention the Dodgers are a game and a half in first place? It's not a commanding lead, but then, who has those these days?
