Report: Cubs, A's Nearing Deal To Move Jason Kendall
The Cubs and A's are nearing a deal to send Jason Kendall to Chicago, in exchange for Rob Bowen and a minor leaguer. Not all of Billy Beane's deals work out; on the other hand, what could Jim Hendry possibly be thinking?
Update: Robothal says it's a done deal, with the A's sending cash along, too. Bowen had been DFA'd earlier in the day. Additional coverage at MLB.com, and here's the nominal BTF thread, too.
