Failures Of Construction: Hillenbrand Up, Hendrickson... Still A Dodger

I have said the Dodgers are bad by design. More proof of this comes in the news that Shea Hillenbrand is a Dodger when they could have had Wilson Betemit filling that hole. Remember him? Oh, yes, the fellow who just stroked his 12th dinger of the year. Delwyn Young is back to Las Vegas, and Mark Hendrickson is in the bullpen:
With Little plays it close to the vest, it open's the question of whether the Dodgers are looking to sign David Wells or Jose Contreras. Wells was designated for assignment on Thursday by the Padres, and the White Sox's Contreras has cleared waivers.
If these are the answers to your rotation problems, it pretty much says that you weren't asking the right questions to begin with.

Every year of the Colletti regime he has traded some of the youngsters for some seasoned vets. Because we just really, really, really, really needed the help. I've got what I believe is a very safe prediction.

Betemit will be in this league a lot longer than Shea Hillenbrand. I'd bet money on this if I could.
