News
- Clayton Kershaw was promoted to AA Jacksonville, skipping the Cal League. INF Parker Brooks announced his retirement; he intends to attend law school. (Thanks to heato in yesterday's Dodger Thoughts off-day thread for the link.)
- Speaking of Clayton, he leads the list of top left-handed starters in Baseball America's latest Prospect Pulse. Hank Conger of the Angels comes in second in the catching list behind the Mariner's Jeff Clement. Former Dirtbag Evan Longoria, recently promoted to AAA, leads the list of third basemen, immediately followed by Andy LaRoche.
- Chris Pettit (barely) made

- Jay Brossman was named Pioneer League Player of the Week for his .462 (12-26) week, but he's got a .400 average overall on the season. No Angel or Dodger prospect made Pitcher of the Week.
- Here's the MiLB.com weekly wrap.
