Talk about a leaky bullpen: the Dodgers scord six in the top of the ninth, including three on a bases-loaded Alfredo Silverio triple. Ten men came to the plate in that inning, adding to an already battered Nats team that entered the inning trailing 8-4.

So is Nick Green suddenly a prospect again? You mentioned he only has four wins since the ASB, but failed to mention that he also hasn't lost a game in two months, and 8 of his last 10 were quality starts. He turns 23 tomorrow, so this seems like a prospect to watch at Salt Lake next season. It may be that we pluck Green and Gonzalez off the tree a year before we do young saint Nick.

I don't think Nick Green is "suddenly" a prospect; he was certainly on the radar when the season started, and while he hasn't been lights out, there hasn't been anywhere near enough going wrong to write him off, either. Green may indeed be ready before Adenhart, but I wouldn't be waiting for an appearance in Anaheim before September, 2008. On the other hand, the Angels' rotational depth looks mighty thin for next year, and ongoing injury problems to Jered Weaver and Kelvim Escobar may force the Angels' hand.
