Not Tonight, Hokie Joe: Blue Jays 9, Angels 2

Joe Saunders, who had done a pretty good job previously, just got slammed in the sixth, giving up three consecutive doubles to Troy Glaus, Aaron Hill, and Gregg Zaun. The Jays can hit lefties well, and they showed that tonight. Meantime, the Angels got arguably ripped off on several calls, including and especially the two-out play at third in the fourth, in which replays showed Glaus resting his weight on his glove hand rather than successfully tagging Howie Kendrick. With so little offense available right now, the team absolutely cannot afford to have these kinds of screwups and bad breaks. At least the M's lost to the Rangers 5-2.

Update: Frank Thomas just sent home a pair on an RBI double off Darren Oliver, who reverted to his first half form. Blecch.

Update 2: ... and Glaus homered, a two-run jack that chased Oliver. It's totally weird to see Glaus, who's had a lot of trouble hitting at Anaheim after he left the team, suddenly get hot.
