Roster Notes
- Diamondbacks starting 3B Chad Tracy will have season-ending surgery on his right knee. He was hitting .267 with seven HR.
- Former Angels INF prospect Alexi Casilla won't be guaranteed a starting job in 2008; the Twins are frustrated with his mental lapses on the field, and are leaning toward Nick Punto.
- The Angels officially claim Bartolo Colon will start Wednesday, but Mike Scioscia won't commit to a starter until later today.
- Gary Matthews, Jr. will not be in the lineup for the remainder of the Tampa Bay series, and Vlad Guerrero won't leave the DH slot in that time, either.
- David Wells is thinking about retirement. Really.
