Angels Name Tony Reagins GM

As expected, the Angels named player development director Tony Reagins as their new GM, replacing Bill Stoneman, who left when his contract expired. (Also via AP.) Stoneman will stay on as a consultant.

the intrigue is why it wasn't Ken Forsch. I'm fine with it all, but i'm just wondering .....

i'll miss Stoneman.

Aside from the fact that I'm quite certain they think he's ready for the slings and arrows, it works as a shot across the bow for any teams thinking about raiding the Angels' farm system.
