- The Travs continue their shakeup, undoubtedly fueled by one of the worst starts I can recall since I've been following both teams' minors. Jordan Renz was released, and Arkansas added OF Jordan Czarniecki and IF Adam Morrissey. Renz was a former fourth-round draftee from 2002. Czarniecki was a 25th round pick in 2001 in the Rockies organization who helped lead Tulsa to first-half division titles each of the past two seasons. Morrissey, from Ourimbah, Australia, was with the Travs last year, and the Travs failed to re-sign him; he was about to join the Atlantic League when the Angels came knocking.

It's silly to read much into 12 innings of work, but if Walden keeps this up, do you think there's any chance he gets promoted to Rancho this year, or would they prefer to keep him out of that hitters' league for another year? He was certainly impressive in Rookie ball last year at Orem
The Travs needed a shakeup . That lineup they ran out for the opening home stand was pathetic. More crappy bats than a cave in New Zealand. At this point re-signing Adam Morrisey and adding czarnecki is a HUGE step up. At least now we have a couple of bats that have a chance at hitting AA pitching. The current team here in Arkansas is a sad group (offensively). I anxiously await the second half or next year when the RC players arrive.
