Rodriguez, R: 0.2 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 5 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 14.40 ERA
The Bees got their one loss out of the way and apparently re-forgot the meaning of the word, as Salt Lake is now 10-1 to start the season for the first time in franchise history. Freddie Sandoval went 5-for-5 with four singles and a double, cashing in four, while Brandon "Who Are You And What Have You Done With" Wood got three walks, quadrupling his season total.
Most of the Bees' damage was done in the seven-run third, in which twelve men came to the plate, and included a double steal of home and second base, respectively by Adam Pavkovich and catcher Ryan Budde. That's embarrassing.
Nick Green danced through 12 hits, one of which was a no-outs, two-run homer to Matt Antonelli in the top of the third, to post a quality start plus with six strikeouts.
Collins: 2-3, 1 2B, 1 RBI
Smith, Cor: 2-3, 1 HR, 1 RBI
Fuller: 2-4
Mosebach: (W, 1-0), 5.0 IP, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 H, 3 K, 4 BB, 3.48 ERA
Edwards: 2.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 H, 2 K, 0 BB, 3.68 ERA
Rodriguez, Fr: (S, 1), 1.2 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 3 K, 1 BB, 1.23 ERA
I should take Michael Collins off the watchlist for the simple reason that he's long been off any prospect lists. He's not hitting for much power, but after tonight's 2-for-3 game he's sporting a .345 average, not too shabby in a small-sample-size sort of way. Cory Smith hit a solo homer in the second to give the Travs a lead they would ultimately not surrender.
Bobby Mosebach got his first win of the sesason, and the bullpen made it stand up, if it leaked a lot. Doug Brandt, who was just brilliant last year with Cedar Rapids and Rancho, is struggling a bit in the early going, and gave up a couple hits while making only one out on a strikeout. Francisco Rodriguez notched his first save of the year, allowing two baserunners on a walk and a hit.

Koplove: (S, 1), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 K, 0 BB, 1.35 ERA
Miguel Pinango pitched seven innings of shutout ball and will have to wait for his first AAA decision. Mike Myers got the win despite blowing the save of a 1-0 game by surrendering an RBI single to Gregorio Petit in the bottom of the 8th. Terry Tiffee knocked in the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth on a sac fly, and the final tally scored when reliever Ryan Wing threw one away on a pickoff attempt.
