Pickoff Moves, Wee Small Hours Edition

Owing to a database conversion that won't be done until well past my bedtime...

Shutout Victory: Angels 1, Twins 0

I'm gonna go to a lot more games if I can't listen at work to the ones I can't go to.

Joe Saunders tossed a shutout of the Twinks through eight, and K-Rod slammed the door to get the Angels their second win. Howie Kendrick scored the only run on a wild pitch by starter Nick Blackburn.

But I Wanted To Write About A Win! Giants 2, Dodgers 1

Not that the Blue didn't have their opportunities, but this time there was no late-inning rally that pushed anything across the plate. Hey, at least I can listen to 790 in the office...

Rob I have a small request...can you update this blog about 3 times/day, starting around 8 AM PST and then twice more before 2:30? Or more, of course.

But seriously though, "they" have me doing shit work at this job and I need more baseball.

Apropos of nothing, really, but Steve Lyons (the baseball announcer guy; does he still work for the Dodgers?) recently lost a lawsuit against his insurance company, arising out of an incident where Lyons was sued for a sexual assault. The insurance company refused to defend him.

The whole Marcus Giles thing was apparently just a belated April Fool's joke. Check the CBS link - keyword: "misinformed"...

BTW - thanks for the late, late night from a grateful set of colleagues, Rob.

The whole Giles-to-Dodgers thing was apparently premature. Check out the CBS link now...

BTW, thanks very much Rob, from all of your grateful colleagues. Your extremely late night and hard work are greatly appreciated.
