On Adenhart's Short Rest

One of the advantages of having a database of every minor league pitching start published by MILB.com is the ability to answer questions like those that came up in today's BTF thread on Nick Adenhart's callup, namely, had Adenhart ever pitched on short rest before? I assume short rest can be defined as anything less than four days between starts, and so we answer in the affirmative: he pitched the Midwest League All-Star game on June 20, 2006 for just an inning, and then two days later made his regularly scheduled start on June 22. He gave up a run in the All-Star game. In the latter game, he gave up two runs, both earned, on nine hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Baseball America points out the difficulty pitchers have with short rest, showing their tendency to ineffectiveness.
