Escobar Can't Get Back Fast Enough: Mets 5, Angels 4 (10 Innings)
The Angels led after the three-run fifth, which they stupidly ran themselves out of; Vlad was going on a contact play, and Torii Hunter allowed himself to get thrown out trying to advance to third, or something like that. They've been doing that a lot lately. Once Francisco Rodriguez gave up the tying run on a wild pitch and an RBI single to David Wright, the conclusion was foregone considering that Mike had used up five pitchers before loser Justin Speier came in to cough up the losing home run to ex-Angel Damion Easley.
I think I'm gonna be sick.
At least the Angels are still in first place.
What a godawful series.
