Indians Stampede Bison, Dodgers: Indians 6, Dodgers 4 (10 Innings)

Really a pretty dismal game for the Dodgers through seven, who picked up a baserunner here and there against Cleveland starter Cliff Lee, but just couldn't sustain any kind of rally at all. The Dodgers put up a couple in the eighth and two more in the ninth (the latter against "closer" Joe Borowski) to tie it, but Takashi Saito just melted down in the top of the tenth to give Cleveland the win, and himself the loss. Really a bummer of a game.

I wonder what has happened to Takashi Saito lately. He's been slipping this season. It looks as if Jonathan Broxton may be our closer next year.

Here is a quote from Russell Martin: "I don't know if it's something physical, but he's having a hard time locating the fastball on his glove side -- away to right-handers."

If you have a chance, check out my short recap on the game as well: http://dodgersdigest.blogspot.com/2008/06/recap-indians-wins-6-4-in-ten.html
