Gary Matthews, Jr. Out Indefinitely With Knee Injury
Interesting from two angles: Gary Matthews, Jr. will be out of the lineup indefinitely with a knee injury, a small tear of the patellar tendon of the left knee. Is this hurting him at the plate? Possibly. Will it provide the Angels with an excuse to keep Juan "Second Half Performer" Rivera in the lineup until further notice? I hope so...
No word on who will be coming up to replace him, or even if he's been transferred to the DL yet.
