Something To Pull The Heartstrings

From Torii Hunter:
Hunter's grandmother, Edna Cobbs, passed away on Friday at the age of 80. The center fielder will remain with the team through Friday, Aug. 2, before he takes Saturday and Sunday to be with his family for the funeral.

"She always took care of us. Man, anything we needed, she was always there," Hunter said. "I remember I ran away from home one time, mad at my mom, and she took me in and told my mom to pretend like she was mad at her and my mom let me stay over there for like a week, and then I missed my mom and went back home.

"She was always there for me, and she's been suffering for a while and I'm kind of happy but I'm sad, she's not suffering anymore -- she's gone on to the good Lord. She'll be missed."

Godspeed, Edna.
