The Kernels posted a pair of three-run innings in the seventh and eighth to put the game way.

Esmerlin Jimenez pitched another quality start plus, his second in his last three games. Since rejoining the rotation on June 11, he's had five quality starts in 12 attempts with a 5-5 record, a 2.99 ERA, and a 53/30 K:BB ratio.

Solano: (L, 1-2) (in relief), 3.0 IP, 9 R, 8 ER, 8 H, 3 K, 3 BB, 1 HR, 9.55 ERA
Ogden lost despite yeoman's work by first baseman Steven Caseres, who drove in seven by himself, six on a pair of three-run jacks. All but one of Ogden's runs allowed were earned; Helena even spotted Ogden three errors and three unearned runs, to boot. Helena had 22 hits to Ogden's eight, but only one home run, Eric Komatsu's grand slam off Javier Solano. Every Ogden pitcher had runs in double digits against. Yuck.
