News
- Orem's Luis Jimenez made Offensive Player of the Week for his 11-25 (.440) week with two home runs and an .880 slugging average.
- Jeff Boshers of Orem made Pitcher of the Week honors for a 2-0 week with a 0.82 ERA in 11.0 IP.
- If you're so inclined, here's the weekly league notebook wrap post.
- The other day I didn't mention the Dodgers' GCL or the Angels' AZL teams when considering their postseason prospects; Benjamin Hill takes care of that for me, explaining that the Angels won the first half, and have entry (likely playing the Giants, currently leading the second half standings). The GCL Dodgers win the East division, and would play whichever team doesn't get a first-round bye, currently the South-leading Pirates, so they would face the Phillies in the North.

Amazing how bad a team gets once all its best players are yanked from under it. Nick Green added to his list of unhappy outings, the offense didn't get it done for the most part, though Brad Coon and Brandon Wood combined for six walks; go figure.

Helena had 22 hits to Ogden's eight, but only one home run, Eric Komatsu's grand slam off Javier Solano. Every Ogden pitcher had runs in double digits against. Yuck.
