Wilson: 3-4, 1 RBI
Wood: 1-2, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 1 K
Sandoval, F: 2-4, 1 BB, 1 K

Bulger: (S, 15), 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 0.66 ERA
Jason Bulger... grrrr ... Justin *#$& Speier ... aw, nevermind. Anyway, Cory Smith homered, Giancarlo Alvarado failed to make it through even five for the second straight time, but his offense got him off the hook with a right good pounding in the seventh that put three runs on the board, sparked by Brandon Wood's — wait for it — leadoff walk.
2008-08-21: Arkansas 3, Tulsa 4 #
Trumbo: 1-3, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB

Austen: (L, 1-3), 5.0 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 7 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 1 HR, 5.08 ERA
The Travs stranded 11 and that was the story of this game, as David Austen couldn't get past the fifth.
2008-08-21: San Jose 7, Rancho Cucamonga 1 #
Willits: 2-4, 1 K
Mount: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Conger: 1-4

Ford: 3.0 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 H, 3 K, 1 BB, 3.38 ERA
Sean O'Sullivan's second straight loss. He's been good at collecting decisions this year: only three of his appearances have been in relief, and he's had four no-decisions in 23 starts.

Hu: 0-3, 1 K
Cyr: (L, 2-2), 3.1 IP, 8 R, 8 ER, 8 H, 4 K, 3 BB, 2 HR, 9.31 ERA
Eric Cyr' surname is also an anagram for "cry". He gave up two homers to Edwin Bellorin, one an inside-the-parker in the second. Just. Bad.

Sanfler: 2.2 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 3.17 ERA
2008-08-21: Ogden did not play
2008-08-21: GCL Dodgers 0, GCL Marlins 3 (6 innings) #
Green: 2-3, 2 2B
Magill: (L, 1-1), 4.2 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 5 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 2.81 ERA
Completed early due to rain. The GCL Dodgers still have three games postponed due to rain, one against the Mets and two against the Nationals. Given how little time is left in the season, it's looking questionable whether the Nationals game, now twice rescheduled, will ever be played.

Comments:
Wood's walk rates continue to go up - way up. Somehow, somewhere, either someone gave him a subtle tip or he simply is recognizing pitches better - but the results are there.

If the Halos have a comfortable enough lead in September, I'd like to see him get 40-50 AB's. Right now, Figgins' production is low - he better get in gear or he might lose his job a la Cabrera.

.369/.446/.795 since his July 17 "awakening", with 17 walks, and a very manageable 30 strikeouts. Not too shabby.
