990. Alex41592I should also mention that Ken Griffey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a walk in his first game to help the Chisox beat Kansas City 4-2. Pittsburgh beat the Cubs 3-0 thanks partly to an Andy LaRoche single that was eventually cashed in for a run by Jack Wilson. And of course Mark Teixeira got a crucial walk in today's Angels game that proved the decisive run on Torii Hunter's RBI single.
Outside and low, but at least he's consistently AWFUL.Manny bats second in the ninth.

Not that I'm making any judgments on the value of those trades based on a set of small sample sizes.
Manny wearing #99 was about as emblematic as could be, what with the obvious connotation that he's a short-timer.
Otherwise: the Dodgers played almost exactly the same game as yesterday, unable to hold a 1-0 lead that the Snakes turned into a loss in the very next frame. It could hardly be funnier... except for the part where Clayton Kershaw pitched well enough to get the win, but lost it thanks to Chan Ho Park.
