ALDS Game 2: Rays 6, White Sox 2
The Sox looked to start a two-out rally this inning, but couldn't sustain it; after two consecutive singles by Cabrera and Nick Swisher, Jermaine Dye grounded out to second to end the thread. 2-1 Sox.
Bottom 5th: Jason Bartlett singled with one out, and Akinuri Iwamura walloped one over the left center wall to make it 3-2 Rays. Mark Buehrle gets out of the inning without further damage, but he's given his offense some work to do.
Top 6th: Juan Uribe gets a leadoff single, and Brian Anderson bunts him to second. That's it for Kazmir, and Grant Balfour enters the game to retire Orlando Cabrera and Nick Swisher to end the threat. Still 3-2 Rays.
I'm heading to the Angels game now, so I'll finish this post once I get back.
Bottom 9th: The Rays, unlike the choking Angels, found a way to have a big three-run rally in the bottom of the eighth to put a big exclamation point on their win.
