Roster Notes
- Carlos Delgado will have labrum surgery on his right hip, and will miss at least two months, with the New York Times reporting it could be the whole season.
- It also appears as though Jose Reyes will sit out at least today's game with the Dodgers thanks to calf tendinitis. He's considered day-to-day, and may return as early as tomorrow.
- The Mariners are benching Adrian Beltre, who is mired in a 0-for-11 skid and is hitless in his last 13. He was earlier in a slump prior to the last road trip, and is hitting .242/.316/.558 for the season.
- Casey Blake is a late scratch from tonight's game with a hamstring strain induced in Sunday's game running out a grounder.
- Update: Former Dodger Alex Cora has a strained thumb ligament and has been placed on the 15-day DL. The Mets will call up Ramon Martinez to play short, presumably from AAA Buffalo. (Also at MLB.com.)
