Rudy Seanez Signs With Angels
The Angels have signed former Dodger Rudy Seanez, reports San Diego radio station KXO. He has reported to extended spring training and is to move up to AAA Salt Lake City to get some innings in. It's not clear from the story whether he has signed a major or a minor league contract.
The 40-year-old reliever had a 3.53 ERA last year with Philadelphia in 43.1 innings of work, with a 1.2 K/BB ratio, a 6.2 K/9, and a 1.454 WHIP. He last pitched in the American League in 2006 with the Red Sox, where he had a 4.82 ERA in 46.2 IP.
Update: Apparently this was being talked about yesterday and I missed it.
