Angels On The Right End Of A Blowout: Angels 11, Rockies 3

Getting six out of starter Jason Marquis in the first two innings, the Angels never looked back, only surrendering their first run to the opposition in the seventh, on a Garrett Atkins solo blast. The Angels, meantime, had etc., etc., etc. The game's arguably most exciting moment came when fleet-footed Colorado centerfielder Dexter Fowler tripled in the eighth against Rafael Rodriguez, and a bad throw by cutoff man Maicer Izturis allowed him to score easily, simulating in fact if not by the book an inside-the-park home run.

Bobby Abreu cashed in a pair on a two-run jack in the eighth, Joe Saunders was brilliant through most of his six innings of work, and the Angels racked up an easy win over Colorado, a red-hot team prior to this series. What else could you ask for?
