Eckstein's Longball Ties It Up, Utility Infielder Josh Wilson Loses It On The Mound Nine Innings Later: Diamondbacks 9, Padres 6 (18 Innings)
Bottom 9th: Going into the ninth, the Pads were back 6-1, but the Pads got Adrian Gonzalez home on a Chase Headley single, and then Nick Hundley drove in his same-named consort from third on another RBI single. Chris Burke bounced into a fielder's choice that left runners at the corners, and David Eckstein snuck a longball into the left-field Western Metal Supply seats to tie the game at 6-all. They're going to extras after Tony Gwynn, Jr.'s bounce out to second, and Dan Haren is robbed of a win by his bullpen.
Bottom 10th: The Padres go down in order, and the game continues.
Top 18th: Apparently the Pads ran out of pitchers and had utility infielder Josh Wilson take the mound; he gave up a three-run jack to Mark Reynolds that decided the game. The Pads went down in order in the bottom of the frame.
