Comments:
I'm starting to wonder why Alex Torres isn't a top ten rated prospect for the Angels. LHP, flashes a 94-mph fastball, has a K9 of 9.3 over three levels in the minors, and obscene groundball tendencies (a GO/AO nearing 3, and an infinitesimal HR9 of 0.2).
His only issues are control and size (he's 5'10"). But he's 21 at Rancho, and just how many LHP fireballers do we have that can maintain a 3 ERA in the Cal League? This guy is player to watch. If he cuts down his walks, he might be for real.
